TDES – Triple DES Upgrade

Triple DES upgrade will give ATMs the ability to triple encrypt a PIN number during an ATM transaction. The targeted compliance date is November 1, 2006.

The goal of Triple DES is to better provide a safeguard against identity theft, which is unfortunately becoming more common in today’s society. Most ATMs manufactured prior to 2005 will need to be TDES upgraded, or replaced entirely, with a new ATM that is Triple DES compliant. In most circumstances, this will be a costly upgrade ($700 - $5000, depending on your ATM model). However, ATM USA can offer you a significant discount, or in some cases, a FREE Triple DES Upgrade of your existing Cross, MoneyTree, Triton, Tidel, or Tranax brand ATM machine. • CROSS: MB1000, MB2000, MB2100, Nano
• MONEYTREE: All models
• TIDEL: IS800, IS1000, IS2000, TD, SC (AnyCard)
• TRANAX: 1500 (manufactured before 2/2005)
• TRITON: Mako, 9500, 9600, 9610, 9620, 9650
• WRG: All models
